4020/6020 Computer Concepts and Operating Systems for Occupational Studies
Computer hardware and software; fundamental operating procedures; data organization and representation; current trends in occupational uses of computer technology. Emphasis on instructional approaches for teaching microcomputer operating systems in occupational studies. Includes Windows 2000 and Macintosh. This course is primarily for Business Education majors and prepares course participants to be able to teach about basic computer components, operations, and software. Students from other majors also sometimes enroll in this class and have benefited from the content and experiences included. This is a split-level class. Students enrolled in the graduate level EBUS 6020 complete additional course requirements, course activities, and have a supplemental set of objectives appropriate for graduate level course work.
