Welcome to Ike's Home page! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Instructional Technology at the University of Gerogia.
I received my B.A. in Education
in 1992 and my M. Ed in Educational
Psychology in 1996, both from Chung-Ang
University in Seoul, Korea. I earned my Ph. D. in Instructional
Systems from The Pennsylvania
State University in 2002.
Prior to coming to The University of Georgia in 2003, I was a faculty member
at Western Illinois University
(2001-2002). In Seoul, I worked as a researcher at the Research
Center for Korean Youth Culture (1993-1995) and the Korean
Education Development Institute (1996).
My current research interests include designing online learning environments for complex problem solving and naturalistic decision-making, online peer discussion and knowledge construction, and cognitive task analysis and knowledge representation. My teaching focuses on design and development of Web-based learning environments.
