Dr. C. Kenneth Tanner, Professor of Educational leadership, the University of Georgia, is currently conducting research regarding the influence of the school's physical environment on student learning, behavior, and attitude. He teaches courses in school design and planning and uses computer technology in the delivery of all his courses, including the University of Georgia's Web CT. Before coming to the University of Georgia he worked as a professor and consultant with the University of Tennessee's School Planning Laboratory. In addition to teaching and research activities, Dr. Tanner works as a consultant with architectural firms and school systems in planning and designing schools. He has been involved in school design and planning activities in several states, authored three books on planning, and written over 100 articles, papers, and chapters related to school planning and design. Dr Tanner is a graduate of the Florida State University. His recent academic, research, and service activities may be found at the SDPL web site (http://www.coe.uga.edu/sdpl/sdpl.html).
