The Teaching with Technology Graduate Assistant Team

Betsy Alpert
Betsy is currently earning her Specialist in School Counseling. She recently graduated from UGA with her Master’s in Language & Literacy Education (Spanish and ESOL), and she also taught Spanish at Kennesaw Mountain High School in Kennesaw, GA for five years. Betsy loves to travel, study abroad, watch movies and the TV show "Lost", play tennis, and spend time with her husband and adorable dog, Sampras.

Tom Markle
Tom swears that he is very close to finishing his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. He already is in the possession of a BA in Philosophy from SUNY New Paltz, and an MA in Ed. Psych from the University of Georgia. Tom recently completed a two year assistantship as an instructor for EPSY 2130, earning a 2009 Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award from the university. Luckily for Tom, he enjoys both teaching and technology, which makes him well suited for his assistantship. Tom is a proud supporter of inside jokes, the internet, and training feral cats.
