A consortium of faculty* from seven universities, The Ohio State University, the University of Minnesota, the University of Georgia, Colorado State University, Purdue, the University of Wisconsin - Stout, and Eastern Michigan State University, in cooperation with the National Association for Industrial and Technical Teacher Education have developed the materials provided on this Web site for technology teacher education regarding teaching to the new standards.

A conceptual framework for technology education which presents an historical frame for technology education and takes up the topics of technological knowledge as language, inquiry, design, and engineering.
A content primer that provides background information, conceptual structures, conceptual definitions and explanation for the content of medical technology.

Eight video vignettes of exemplary teaching of technology education with the new standards. The topics for the videos include teaching construction, manufacturing, energy and power, in the middle and high schools, discussion and illustrations of design and problem solving and assessment.
