Whale Morphology

As a new naturalist on a whale watching boat, learn interactive video and audio about the morphology of whales. In three lessons learn about: (a) classifying whales & other mammals, (b) the function of blowholes, baleen and blubber, and (c) taking classification a step further - using a dichotomous key.

Toxins Downstream (In development)

Take an interactive trip down stream, follow the course of water from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina to the Costal Plains of Georgia. Learn how easily toxins & pollutants enter the water supply as it goes downstream. There are lots of simple things that we can do to improve drinking water and oceans.

Entanglement! (In planning)

One of the biggest dangers to whales are entanglements with commercial fishing gear. Experience a video and audio detanglement in the Atlantic Ocean. Interact with experts who face great danger to save the lives of many whales every season.
