How to Apply • How Do I Get Started?
I know my path. Now, how do I get started?
Steps to take to get into the tell program:
- Fill out TELL Application
- Apply for Admission to Appropriate School (Select your path below.)
Note: You will be asked for your Transcripts (High School/Junior College/College), your TOEFL score (if required), GRE or MAT score, among other things, depending on which category of TELL applicant you are. Please check every link carefully to be certain you are adhering to all admissions requirements.
TELL Undergrad
Some options:
- UGA Undergraduate Admissions
PLUS
TAL undergraduate certification program
- NGCSU Undergraduate Admissions
PLUS Evening Early Childhood Education Program at the Gainesville University Center
TELL Grad
Some options:
- UGA Graduate School Admissions
PLUS
chosen graduate program
ECCO, pages 11-26 or
TAL
TELL Non-Degree
Any approved school as "non-degree" student (for example, the UGA Graduate School)
NOTE: You will also need the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) to evaluate your degree to specify which courses and/or tests (Praxis I and II) you need for certification.
$$Financial Note$$: TELL will provide up to $5,000 in tuition and expenses during your final two years in a certification program. This means, if you are on the pre-TELL I or II path, you will not receive financial support until you become a TELL-Undergrad, Grad, or Non-Degree. We will support you in non-monetary ways up to this point, as feasible (For details, see Support& Resources section).
