    What is the application process?

    Currently we are not receiving new applications.

    The TELL program's target population has been recent college graduates, school district employees, and mid-career professionals who are bilingual and employed in high-need schools in Georgia.

    TELL scholars have met the following criteria:

    • Are fluently bilingual and bi-literate in languages in need in Georgia public schools. Spanish and English bilinguals are currently our priority, though other languages will be considered.
    • Have completed no less than a Bachelors Degree or be currently admitted to an undergraduate program leading to initial certification in the state of Georgia AND
    • Have demonstrated competence in a field for which there is a shortage of qualified teachers (such as foreign language).
    • Are admitted to regular or graduate admission at the University of Georgia (UGA) OR a certification- granting institution.
    • Commit to teaching for three years in a high-need school in Georgia following program completion.
    • Are a U.S. citizen or have permanent residency in the United States.
    • Have completed the TELL application form.
