Purpose and Description

Title: COE Outstanding Honors Student Award
Purpose: This award is given to an outstanding Honors student in the College of Education.
Deadlines: All nominations should be submitted to COE Office of Student Services (124-M Aderhold Hall) by noon on February 22. Should this date fall on a weekend or holiday, nominations should be submitted the next working day.
Eligibility: Graduating Honors students in the College of Education are eligible.
Recognition: A framed certificate will be presented at the Honors Banquet. The student also receives a membership to a professional organization or a subscription to an appropriate journal in his/her field.

Application Procedures and Documentation
The COE Office of Student Services will generate a list of all Honors graduates for the given academic year in early spring. The COE Scholarship Committee will forward a list of the eligible Honors graduates to the appropriate department heads. After determining the department’s nominee, the department head will submit the nomination package.

Please submit the application as a PDF file electronically via email attachment to The Office of Student Services and 706.542.1717. Please name the nomination file as “Last Name_First Name_OHSA“.  For example, the nomination for John Smith for COE Outstanding Honors Student Education Award would be named as “Smith_John_OHSA”.
