FERPA

The University of Georgia strives to fully comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 or FERPA law by protecting the privacy of student records and judiciously evaluating requests for release of information from these records.  To ensure that anyone who has access to students’ educational information understands their responsibilities in protecting this information, the UGA Registrar’s office has created a FERPA tutorial and quiz.  Faculty and staff are encouraged to visit this website to learn more about FERPA and take the quiz.
