Meeting Minutes

Present: Betty Blum, Janice Cieslak, Denise Collins, Jennifer Guyton, Rene' Hammond, Valerie Kilpatrick, Cindy Molloy, Jacquee Rosumny, Heidi Sartain, Julie Sartor, Cindy Williams.

The meeting began by introducing ourselves to one another. Rene' Hammond starting off with discussion of the committee reports:

Staff Awards: The committee was unable to meet on January 8th due to conflicts. Rene' Hammond mentioned that if the committee is planning on making changes, that it should be done fairly soon.

Safety: No Report

Newsletter: Committee met January 15th with some great ideas. In the Winter Newsletter, they have decided to do a spotlight on two COE Employees. It was agreed on by the SRG Committee to spotlight Dee Palmer in Reading Education and Martha Williams at the Ramsey Center. Rene' Hammond agreed to interview Martha Williams and Janice Cieslak agreed to interview Dee Palmer. They plan to have the Winter Newsletter out by February 25th. The next committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12th.

Service:

Relay for Life: Rene' Hammond brought up a good idea for a Valentine Fundraiser. It will be held on Thursday, February 13th in room 116/117 from 2:00-4:00p.m.. Each committee member is to bring a gift wheather it be donated or bought personally for door prizes. SRG representative are encouraged to ask other staff in their schools to help out with desserts/finger foods. Rene' Hammond will send out an email encouraging all faculty and staff to attend. The cost will be $1.00 to enter and they will receive a heart to wear (Have a Heart). Rene' Hammond and Sandy Smith have agreed to go to Party City to purchase the stickers and paper products. Janice Cieslak agreed to make up some flyers to promote this fundraiser.

The team captain for Relay for Life Joy Fulmer would like for us to start thinking of other fundraisers and a team name. Bring ideas to the next SRG meeting.

Old Business: SRG Group Photo was scheduled for Wednesday, February 12th at 10:00 a.m..

New Business: Reconstruction of the College: There has been no new news. No committees have been formed at this time.

The next SRG meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12th at 10 am in G-10 Aderhold (ground floor).
