Staff Representative Group Meeting Minutes & August 10, 2006
G23 Aderhold Hall

Present: Shea Ray, Mike Gorman, Susan Christopher, Elizabeth Platt, Barbara Galvond, Chelita Edwards, Laura Patrick, Caroline Wooten, Freita Strickland.

Old Business

1. Minutes
Minutes from last meeting were approved. Mike will have them posted to SRG website.

2. Standing committee reports
Safety Committee: New first aid kits to River&rsquos Crossing. Bushes have grown back and are still a problem.
Newsletter Committee: Spring newsletter went out and received good feedback.
Staff Awards Committee: Will start planning form next year in the next month or so.

3. Special committee reports
Social Committee: Ice cream social went well.
Staff Lounge Committee: Looking to post pictures of past Staff Award winners and adding a third table.
4. Report of Chair
Shea will be attending the State Staff Council conference at Fort Valley State in November.

The COE Fall Diversity Fling is scheduled for Wednesday, September 20 from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
SRG has claimed space for files in the newly converted Aderhold penthouse storage
A discussion on coffee breaks in the new staff lounge was tabled until the September 14th meeting.

Next meeting will be on September 14th at 10:00 a.m. in G23 Aderhold.
