Staff Representative Group Meeting Minutes – November 10, 2005

G23 Aderhold Hall

Present: Shea Ray, Freita Strickland, Julie Range, Caroline Wooten, Mike Gorman, David Avin, Marianne Roberts, Laura Patrick, Salli Park, Adlee Smith

Old Business:

1. Minutes from last meeting were approved

2. Standing committee reports

There are still people needed to sign up for committees.

Safety Committee: No report-In progress

Newsletter Committee: November 30 goal for publishing newsletter, overflow information will be placed on website.

Staff Awards Committee: No report

3. Special committee report

Social Committee: No report

4. Report of Chair

Staff Council meeting was on 11/2.

Voted for new secretary.

Draft minutes on website @ http://www.uga.edu/ugasc

College of Education mentioned in Staff Council newsletter as one of the few colleges with monetary staff awards.

Membership needed for ad-hoc University committees, particularly Health & Safety and Parking & Transportation.

New Business:

1. SRG Website

Website is up and running and will be announced after the newsletter.

People were very appreciative of the Fall Social at River’s Crossing and thanked the Social Committee.

There is a Technology Liaison meeting and Data Security Training scheduled for November 17 and a second meeting scheduled for January 12.

Room 609 will not be a College conference room. It will be under LPSL.

Next meeting will be on December 8th at 10:00 a.m. in G23 Aderhold.
