Old Business
- Minutes
Minutes were approved for the 7/19//07 meeting and Amanda will post them on the SRG website.
- Standing Committee Reports
Safety Committee (Mike Gorman)
The committee would like to have a representative from the Ramsey Center. They are also trying to setup agenda goals for the first meeting.Newsletter Committee
The newsletter has been published. The committee will talk with Heather Fancher about doing the newsletter and Andy Garber will stay as a committee member.Staff Awards Committee (Amanda Cole)
The committee had there first meeting today. They discuss the theme which will be music (black and gold) There will be new information coming up in the next couple of months regarding the awards.

Staff Council Meeting
After some discussion, the members decided to rotate the task of attending the Staff Council Meetings. We will try this on a trial basis for a period of a year. Motion made
and second.Career Track Committee
Becky Hendren, Jacquee Rosumny, Andy Garber, Christy Glazer, Adlee Smith, are the members for this committee. Sally MacDonald will be asked to attend the SRG Meeting on September 6, 2007 to discuss the thoughts and ideas behind this.Training and Development Committee- (Mike Gorman will chair) New committee was formed at today’s meeting. This is a research committee to find out what staff would like and what kind of opportunities are out there for them in the training arena.

4. New Business
- Jacquee Rosumny and Amanda Cole will meet with the dean on September 18, 2007 to discuss SRG.
- Want to support staff in the college more.
- Providing opportunities for staff to reach success.
- Diversity celebration on September 18, 2007 from 3-5; SRG decided to have a table at the celebration and part of the theme will be to welcome new staff. If you are interested in helping, please contact Amanda Cole at 3-8131 or acole23@uga.edu.
- Will invite Sally McDonald to next meeting to talk about Career Track.
Next meeting is September 06, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.
