OLD BUSINESS
1. Minutes
The April 2008 minutes were not available.
2. Standing Committee Reports
Safety Committee
Brian McCall will be the River’s Crossing safety representative for the College.
Newsletter Committee
No report.
Staff Awards Committee (Jacquee Rosumny)
The awards ceremony was a great success. The budget report showed a $96 savings in this year’s expenses.
3. Special Committees
By-laws Committee (Jacquee Rosumny)
The department of Counseling and the COE centers will be conducting their voting process to replace representatives who have left the college. S. Smith will send the ballots for the groups.
Staff Council Meeting
No report.
Career Track Committee (Jacquee Rosumny)
No report.
Training and Development Committee (Jacquee Rosumny)
No report.
Report From The Chair (Jackie Rosumny)
Staff increases will be determined with their performance review. Good reviews would qualify for a 25% extra increase (possible $300). Departmental funds for supplies and graduate assistants will be cut next year.
NEW BUSINESS
a. Dean’s Search Committee: (Amanda Cole)
There were 22 applicants the committee meet; then the list was shorten down to nine; and the committee invited four to come for the campus interviews (2 females and 2 males).
b. Centennial Report: (Jacquee Rosumny)
The COE centennial website conversations with Michael Childes was shared in regards to staff being involved. The SRG archives material is located in the COE penthouse. The suggestion of the COE staff being invited to purchase a brick for the centennial area was discussed. Jacquee will talk with Bill Stauff on the process.
Next meeting is June 5, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in G-23 Aderhold.
