Staff Representative Group Meeting Minutes – March 9, 2006

G23 Aderhold Hall

Present: Shea Ray, Mike Gorman, Susan Christopher, Elizabeth Platt, Barbara Galvond. Julie Range, Freita Strickland, Chelita Edwards.

Old Business

1. Minutes

Minutes from last meeting were approved. Mike will have them posted to SRG website.

2. Standing committee reports

Safety Committee:
The safety committee will have a new printed copy of the safety manual available for each department next month. There was a discussion regarding the recent tornado drill and the confusion around participation.

Newsletter Committee:
Spring newsletter scheduled to be distributed on 4/26.

Staff Awards Committee:
Staff awards has been rescheduled for April 14.

3. Special committee report

Social Committee:
Spring social is planned for March 10 from 2-4 at River’s Crossing. Donations can be made to the Athens Creative Theater in memory of Salli Park.

4. Report of Chair

From the last SRG Meeting a question was raised regarding an SRG Relay for Life team. So far, no one has shown interest in spearheading the effort. If anyone is interested to serve as team captain, please contact the SRG.

Staff Council:
No Report.

New Business

No new business at this time.

Next meeting will be on April 13th at 10:00 a.m. in G23 Aderhold.
