Committees

The Executive Committee is made up of the Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary/Archivist of the SRG. The Executive Committee meets and corresponds throughout the year as necessary to develop the agenda for upcoming meetings. It also considers issues that affect the general welfare of the College of Education or that concern staff, and refers those issues to the appropriate committee, or to the Dean of the College if necessary.

Standing Committees are determined by the SRG. Committees consist of at least three COE staff members, and committee heads are selected from the membership of the committee. All SRG representatives serve on at least one committee, HOWEVER, committee members do not have to be SRG representatives.

Standing committees include Staff Awards; Safety; and Newsletter. Each of these committees investigates issues in its area of responsibility for report to the SRG. Committee members are full participants in the business of the committee to which they serve. Committee members who are not members of the SRG may participate freely in reports and presentations of the committees to the full SRG.

Ad Hoc Committees may be recommended to the SRG by the chair.
