In addition to the dissemination of their work through scholarly publications and presentations, members of the Sport Instruction Lab share their knowledge and expertise with members of the sport and physical education community in the form of several service projects each year.
Every summer, Dr. McCullick heads up the Physical education Teachers Workshop, which provides Georgia teachers with unique professional development opportunities. Lab members and invited guests participate in the workshop as presenters.
Another service project is the lab's annual publication, Lab Notes, sent out to physical education and sport professionals each spring. Lab Notes provides its readers with updates about lab members, research, and events and has been a tradition of the lab for over a decade.
Recently, graduate students who work in the lab have volunteered to help revive and contribute to a section of the Journal of Teaching in Physical Education (JTPE), titled "Retrival and Review". Each contributor will locate research from other scholarly journals within the discipline that the JTPE readership would find relevant and useful.
