2010 CSSE Summer Institute, June 10-11 – Mark Your Calendars!
Each year in June, SPECTRUM students attend a Summer Institute on the University of Georgia campus in Athens. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet face-to-face with fellow students from their online learning community and to increase professional knowledge with practical applications for the classroom. The Institute is sponsored by UGA’s College of Education Communication Sciences and Special Education department.

The 2nd Annual CSSE Summer Institute: Current Topics and Trends in Communication Sciences and Special Education will be held June 10-11, 2010, at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education in Athens. This event is open to all Georgia educators, speech-language pathologists and audiologists. Participants can earn 1.0 PLU by attending this event. Watch this web site – agenda and registration details coming soon!

2009 Student Teaching Workshop
Specifically designed and reserved for SPECTRUM second year students, our one-day Student Teaching Workshop brings current SPECTRUM undergrads together onsite in Athens, Georgia. Prior to beginning their student teaching experiences the following spring semester, SPECTRUM students review certification requirements, learn about topics directly related to student teaching, and prepare for graduation in May. It’s an exciting step towards completion of the SPECTRUM program!
