SPECTRUM Undergrad
SPECTRUM Undergrad is designed for individuals who have an associates degree or 60 transferable credit hours.
To be eligible, you must meet the requirements listed below. Once you determine your eligibility, click on the links for further information about program coursework and other requirements, and how to apply.
SPECTRUM Undergrad is an online program designed for individuals who would like to complete an undergraduate degree and become fully certified in the area of Special Education General Curriculum. It is only for certification in this area.
If you…
- have 60 transferable college credit hours
- have at least a 2.8 GPA
- have completed or satisfied areas I-VI (formerly areas A-F) of the University System of Georgia’s core requirements
- have passed or exempted PRAXIS I or GACE Basic Skills Assessment
then the SPECTRUM Undergrad program may be for you!
SPECTRUM Undergrad is a cohort model that requires you take all of your courses and complete your practicum experiences in a particular sequence. Undergrad cohorts are accepted annually to begin in the fall.

Special Education General Curriculum (Consultative): Educators certified in Special Education General Curriculum are in-field to provide educational services for students with disabilities whose Individualized Education Program (IEP) indicates instruction using the general education curriculum and participation in the general statewide assessment in grades P-12. Refer to PSC Certification Rule 505-2-.107.
