Welcome

The School Engagement Initiative supports increased collaboration between UGA students and faculty and public schools in the state. The Initiative is involved in a variety of projects to accomplish these goals:

GOAL:  to improve P-16 education in Georgia through innovative programs in teacher education, collaborative research, and on-going professional development for faculty in P-12 settings and in the College of Education. 

FOCUS: 

  • A Professional Development School: Judia Jackson Harris Elementary
  • pre-teacher education service-learning courses
  • UGA education outreach projects such as the Archway Projects and OneAthens
