A student built and maintained bog is filled with endangered plants. It is part of the extensive garden areas on the five acre site. The SDPL advocates "in harmony with nature", and this school is certainly an example of this idea.
This stage-play area is used for theater productions and school assemblies. It is also used for free play. Play is a critical behavior in the development of the capacity to deal with change.
