Habitat

This outdoor learning environment provides a context for the subject (The dove's nest). Here, the open area allows the dove an easy exit should a predator move too close to the nest. The nest is simply a "fluffed" and cupped area on the ground. Black berries, in the foreground, are available as a source of food. The nest is located near the bent oak in the upper center of the scene.
