Coordination Course

As we envision new instructional materials and educational technology there is a tendency to limit our thinking to the electronic inside realm. The nature of the child is both social and active. In designing learning environments that relate to their nature, the coordination- obstacle course is well suited. The many muscle groups are used within series of events cooperation, balance, strength and coordination are elicited and reinforced. Without a stretch of the imagination the course can be linked to educational objectives in science. This, however, does require a paradigm shift to consider academic learning outside the building.
