Rod Nave Award

The Rod Nave Award is a special honor for a long-time supporter of the science education community and SASTE. It is named in honor of Rod Nave, a professor in physics at Georgia State University who designed special classes for science teachers to teach, particularly using the latest technologies and emphasizing the conceptual physics approach. It is typically given to a person who represents a significant connection between the sciences and the science education community. The person is nominated by a letter from the SASTE president or a SASTE member on official letterhead. The nominating individual will have the opportunity to read their letter at the SASTE Saturday luncheon when the award is given. Please email Michael Mueller (mmueller@uga.edu) with your nomination.
