Finding Funding - Monday, February 13, 3:30 – 5:00 pm, 228 Aderhold Hall

Activities:

Create accounts and sign up for access to various grant seeking tools including: Community of Science, Grants.gov, The Foundation Center’s website, and other specific agencies’ websites
Learn about COE, UGA, and external funding resources
Sign up for FRED (UGA’s Faculty Research Expertise Database)

Grants Development – Monday, March, 5, 3:30- 5:00 pm, 228 Aderhold Hall

Activities:

Learn more about the steps in completing a grant proposal
Bring an idea for a research study – by the end of the workshop, you will have an outline for the proposal format
We will provide information on resources to guide proposal development

Proposal Writing, Monday, March 26, 3:30 – 5:00 pm, 228 Aderhold Hall

Activities:

Review RFP/RFA (Request for Proposal/Request for Application) section requirements and directions for format, page limits, etc.
Discuss strategies for preparing a proposal
Prepare an outline for a proposal using a proposal writing template – Bring your research ideas or RFA/RFP or other funding announcements
Time provided for individual consultations and to make follow-up appointments

Budget & Compliance, Monday, April 9, 3:30 – 5:00 pm, 228 Aderhold Hall

Activities:

Learn about how to build a budget for a grant or contract
Learn about University rules and regulations concerning grants and contracts
Learn about cost share
