David L. Gast, Ph.D., is Professor of Special Education at the University of Georgia. He received his Ph.D. in child development and child psychology from the University of Kansas in 1975 with a concentration in moderate/severe developmental disabilities, applied behavior analysis, and single subject research-dev methodology. He has over 100 refereed publications in special education and psychology journals, and recently published a textbook entitled Single Subject Research Methodology in Behavioral Sciences available from Routledge. He regularly reviews manuscripts submitted for publication to the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities, Education and Training in Autism and Developmental Disabilities, and Exceptionality. Dr. Gast’s current research-dev interests include the design of errorless instructional programs and strategies for facilitating observational and incidental learning by children with autism during small group instruction.
Kevin M. Ayres, Associate Professor

Kevin M. Ayres, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is an Associate professor of Special Education at the University of Georgia where he also studied and earned his doctorate in 2005. His research-dev primarily focuses on behavioral applications of technology to improve learning outcomes for individuals with ASD. Ayres teaches course work in the areas of applied behavior analysis and single subject research-dev designs. He is on the editorial boards of Remedial and Special Education as well as The Journal of Special Education Technology.
