Using online technology tools for professional,
personal and classroom learning
9am-5pm, June 23 - 27, Lab 232, Aderhold Hall, UGA
This Advanced Institute is an intensive week long exploration into various online technology tools that are impacting the way we create and consume information in an increasinly digital world. Possible areas of exploration (links open a new wikipedia page for general information about various online tools):
1)
Using online tools such as blogs, RSS feeds and aggregators to create networked learning communities online
2) Using multimedia composition and sharing tools such as Flickr for digital photos, YouTube and Vimeo for digital video, and podcasting tools to explore various ways learners can represent their thinking, and in turn learn to see and experience the world differently.
3) Using collaborative writing tools such a blogs, wikis and Google docs to explore the interactive potential these tools might offer a community of learners.
