15th Annual Conference on Interdisciplinary Qualitative Studies

VISION, VOICE, AND VIRTUALITY:
(RE)CONCEPTUALIZING QUALITATIVE REPRESENTATION

The theme for the 2002 QUIG Conference on Interdisciplinary Qualitative Studies at the University of Georgia invites participants to envision the future in qualitative research. Participants are particularly encouraged to complicate notions of voice, explore multiple technologies, and engage with artistic representations of research (e.g. visual, dramatic, poetic). We hope to engage participants in exploring how various forms of data representation influence qualitative researchers to reconceptualize the research process.

QUIG 15TH BIRTHDAY PARTY

Join us to celebrate our 15th birthday and talk to QUIG's founders. On Friday night we'll enjoy an evening at The Georgian, a beautifully restored hotel (circa 1909) in the heart of downtown Athens. Transportation will be provided. Great conversations, delicious food (vegetarian and non-vegetarian), door prizes, and a glimpse into QUIG's past.

Publication Opportunity
As a presenter at QUIG 2002, you have the opportunity to submit a paper for publication in the International Journal for Qualitative Studies in Education (QSE). James Scheurich, Editor of QSE, has agreed to publish two papers from the conference in an upcoming issue. Guidelines for the submission of articles, along with information about the paper deadline and review process, will be mailed to interested participants.
