Social and Economic Justice:
Deconstructing Myths and Masks through Qualitative Research

The theme for QUIG 2001, invites participants to explore issues of social and economic justice, particularly the myths and masks we use across the globe to perpetuate injustice and oppression such as racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, poverty, violence, and illiteracy, as well as ways in which qualitative research has contributed to alleviating injustice.

Jazz and Jambalaya
On Saturday night, we'll head into downtown Athens for an evening of New Orleans-style food and fun. The festivities will be at The Georgian, a beautifully restored historic hotel (circa 1909) located in the heart of downtown. Transportation provided. Please plan to join us for an evening of Creole food (vegetarian & non-vegetarian), jazz music, door prizes, and spicy conversation!
