Developing Mathematical Thinking in a Standards-Based Classroom

As the GPS is being rolled out this year for 8th grade math, we would like to use the John A.Van de Walle book, Elementary and Middle School Mathematics: Teaching Developmentally as the basis for discussions. We would like to use the ideas from this book to influence classroom practices.
