I currently serve as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology and Instructional Technology. My research goal is to find ways of enhancing e-learning in order to build complex problem-solving and dynamic decision-making skills, which leads me to focus on e-learning design and implementation models, online peer-questioning strategies and knowledge construction, and cognitive task analysis and knowledge representation methods. For the last few years, I have been serving as the principal investigator or the co-investigator on externally or internally funded research projects dealing with the development and examination of e-learning design models and online instructional strategies. While collaborating with professors in Agricultural Science, Medical Science, Teacher Education, and Veterinary Medicine, I have been implementing e-learning environments in order to enhance college classroom instruction. My current teaching includes Learning Environments Design and Computer-Based Education. The main themes of my recent and on-going publications are case-based e-learning design models for dynamic decision-making and scaffolding peer-questioning for knowledge construction.
