Dr. Delgado-Romero is a Professor in the Counseling
Psychology (CP) Doctoral Program. Dr. Delgado-Romero teaches the following courses in the CP doctoral program: Advanced Theories, Internship
and Practicum. His is a licensed psychologist in Georgia.
His research interests are in multicultural psychology, Latino/a
psychology, race and ethnicity, faculty of color retention and
multicultural competence. He is a member of several editorial boards including The Counseling Psychologist, the Journal of Counseling Psychology and the Journal of Hispanic Higher Education.
Dr. Delgado-Romero is a fellow of American Psychological Association (Divisions 45 and 17) and is the president of the National
Latina/o Psychological Association (NLPA - www.nlpa.ws)
Dr. Delgado-Romero received a B. A. degree in Psychology from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN in 1988, and an M.A. (1995) and Ph.D. (1997) in Counseling Psychology from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN. He was an intern at Michigan State University during
1996-1997. Dr. Delgado-Romero previously worked at the University of Florida (Counseling Center) and Indiana University (Counseling Psychology faculty).
