The Program Evaluation Group (PEG) offers expertise in the design, management, and coordination of evaluation projects ranging from large, multi-site, complex evaluation studies to smaller, local assessments of education and community programs. PEG has extensive experience developing data collection instruments and protocols, conducting field-based research, and analyzing data using diverse statistical methods.
PEG provides the following evaluation and research services:
- Designing evaluation plans for research programs and proposals
- Preparing needs assessments to facilitate targeted investment of resources
- Creating logic models
- Conducting interviews and focus groups
- Conducting on-site observations and document reviews and analyses
- Analyzing achievement and performance data
- Compiling and analyzing large, complex datasets from multiple sources, both quantitative and qualitative
- Preparing comprehensive and user-friendly reports and presentations tailored to the specific needs of the evaluation users
- Assisting clients in designing internal evaluation systems to improve decision making and to collect performance outcome data needed for reporting to funders as well as attracting and recruiting new funders.
In addition to evaluations and research, PEG also provides consulting and technical assistance services to aid organizations in optimizing resources to achieve the greatest impact. PEG helps clients to answer critical questions, such as what data are critical for improving our decision making, how can we measure and monitor our progress and stay focused on our goals, and how do we use data to facilitate ongoing and continuous improvement.
PEG also supports programs and organizations by conducting evaluation trainings and workshops designed to meet their specific needs, assessing the quality and rigor of evaluation systems, and providing recommendations for improving the data generated by those systems.
