Center for Counseling and Personal Evaluation

The Center for Counseling and Personal Evaluation provides professional services for a wide range of interpersonal, behavioral, and educational concerns.

We are committed to fostering an environment where everyone is respected, welcomed, and appreciated. We believe that valuing diverse life experiences is an important piece of providing culturally competent services.

We are a diverse group of doctoral and master's student clinicians within the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services.

All of the center’s staff is under the supervision of University of Georgia faculty members. The center director, Linda Campbell, is a licensed psychologist in the state of Georgia. She is an active member of the American Psychological Association, the Georgia Psychological Association, and the Athens Area Psychological Association.

The Center for Counseling and Personal Evaluation is an interprofessional facility in which students train to become psychologists, counselors, pharmacists, and nurses. The center is a mental health rotation for the College of Pharmacy and the Regents University School of Nursing. As a result, the students work in an interdisciplinary model to staff client cases on mental health, physical health, and medication concerns.

Our Services

Our clinicians are generalists by training and work with a wide variety of presenting concerns. The Center for Counseling and Personal Evaluation serves residents from all over the state and includes individual, group, couples, and child and adolescent counseling and assessment for learning disabilities, developmental delays, attention deficit and general psychological evaluation.

The primary problems for which people seek help are relationship and couples issues, depression, anxiety, anger management, and adolescent and child behavioral problems. The center staff work closely with schools, community agencies, and health services to provide interdisciplinary services.
