The Office of School Engagement (OSE) at the University of Georgia serves as a bridge between the worlds of theory and practice in P-16 public education to improve the educational experiences of students and the professional lives of educators. We collaborate with school districts to create Professional Development Schools (J.J. Harris Elementary in Clarke County is the first); collaborate with local school districts to provide on-going professional development for teachers; teach introductory service-learning courses to UGA students considering careers in education; and consult with and provide support to school districts in the Archway Partnership network.
