Teleconference Session

Request Room 631 Aderhold (Videoconferencing / Multi-media Suite)

What type of teleconference is right for you?

The College of Education supports two types of conferencing to support your needs. In general, the OIT does not charge for teleconferencing services, but specific charges may apply, depending upon the configuration of your conference. We'll be happy to discuss the particulars.

IP-BASED CONFERENCE

The COE Conference Center in Aderhold 631 provides state-of-the-art videoconferencing and meeting facilities. The room comfortably seats about 20. River's Crossing also provides IP-BASED conferencing.

  • An IP-based conference uses the internet to connect two or more conference sites
  • Heavy internet traffic may degrade the visual quality of an IP-based conference
  • Because the internet is the connection medium, there are no connection or line fees

Telephone Conference

Don't need pictures, but would like a group to share in a telephone call with someone at a remote site? The COE has two Polycom teleconference phones available for short-term loan. These can be used anyplace with an electrical outlet and a standard phone jack.

  • Telephone quality allows for free flow of conversation
  • Line charges may apply
