Teaching with Technology
The Teaching with Technology Team supports instructional applications and technology for all faculty and students of the College of Education. The team, under the leadership of Peter Norris, IT Manager, is working with the Center for Teaching and Learning to provide multiple professional development opportunities for faculty during the transition from WebCT to eLearning Commons.

Ron Braxley leads the digital media and video production services and support. Nathaniel Parker supports our computer laboratories in Aderhold, Ramsey and River's Crossing. Kyle Williams provides support for classroom computers and technology. Betsy Alpert and Tom Markle provide support and consultation on learning management systems, e-portfolios, and synchronous learning applications.

WebCT and eLC
WebCT and eLC are online learning management systems that aid students in their classes by creating, managing, organizing, and housing a Web-based learning environment. eLC will replace WebCT in January, 2010. The application that is the foundation for eLC is Blackboard VISTA. Faculty using these applications can post lecture notes, information, grades, and quizzes. Students and faculty can participate in chat areas and bulletin boards. Streaming media and podcasts can be shared as part of course content. Students can access these online resources at any time.
