Accessing the S: Drive

Instructions for PC:

Login to the COE Novell network with your Novell userid and password. If you do not have a Novell account or are accustomed to using the "guest" account, you can apply for a personal Novell login through the OIT Account Center. Most computers in the College boot up to the Novell login screen, seen below.


Alternatively, you can login to the Novell network from the Windows desktop by right-clicking the red Novell "N" logo in the task tray and selecting "NetWare Login..."

Once you have logged in successfully to the Novell network, shared drives (including the S: drive) will be available by double-clicking "My Computer" on your desktop or selecting "My Computer" from the Windows Start menu.

Business office spreadsheets are located in S:\deansofc\busoff\Applications

 

Instructions for Mac:

From the desktop menu, select Go > Connect to Server... (or use the keyboard shortcut Option-K)

 

The Connect To Server window will appear (shown below). In the "Address:" window type in afp://128.192.22.22 and click on "Connect"

A login screen will appear. Enter your Novell login and password and click "Connect." If you do not have a Novell account or are accustomed to using the "guest" account, you can apply for a personal Novell login through the OIT Account Center.

After a successful login, you will be prompted to select your Novell share destination from a list. Choose "Home and Shared Directories" and click OK.

An icon will appear on your desktop representing the S: drive (shown below). Double-click this icon to navigate the S: drive to S:\deansofc\busoff\Applications to access business office spreadsheets.
