The Division of Student Affairs encourages the involvement of its students in the leadership and development of the campus, community, and student body through governing bodies, Greek associations, Honors societies, and over 75 registered student organizations.

Governance and Programming Bodies

Student Government Association (SGA)
SGA is the ultimate voice for the students of Oconee College and is comprised of an elected student senator from each college. SGA officers are advocated for students and work to ensure that the university is responsive to the changing needs of the student body. SGA also promotes development of the university and assists with the development of institutional policy and o0ther functions of the college.

Campus Union Board

The Campus Union Board is a group of students selected to coordinate social, cultural, and entertainment programs for the campus.

Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council,
and National Pan-Hellenic Council

These councils are responsible for establishing a Greek community at Oconee College that seeks to promote scholarship and leadership opportunities, establish lasting friendships, encourage service, and provide social and athletic opportunities.

Residence Hall Association (RHA)

The RHA assists housing administration with policy and budget development by advocating for student needs. RHA also provides programming for the residence hall and campus communities and holds judiciary panels for resident policy violations.

Student Media

River’s Edge

The River’s Edge is the campus newspaper, and provides the campus with a news coverage, features, sports, editorial opinion, entertainment and advertising.

WOCE (Radio)

WOCE provides live radio broadcasts to students on campus. WOCE provides an opportunity to learn radio station procedures and gain experience in the field of communication.

Calliope
The Calliope is the campus literary, poetry, and art magazine.
