Alumni Awards

  • Each year, the College of Education is proud to present the Distinguished Alumni Awards. With these awards, the College of Education expresses its deep appreciation and admiration to people who – through their service, contributions and accomplishments – bring distinction and honor to the University of Georgia, our state, nation and world.

    UGA faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends are welcome to nominate College of Education undergraduate or graduate alumni in different stages in their careers. Nominations will be considered for all of the award categories. The selection committee, comprised of previous distinguished award winners, administrators, students, faculty, and staff, will be responsible for delegating nominees to specific categories.

Important Dates

  • February 1, 2013: Nominations close
  • March 1: Selection process begins
  • May 1: Recipients announced
  • September: Awards celebration (date TBD)

Criteria

    • Be an undergraduate or graduate degree recipient of the UGA College of Education, or be a private supporter of the College.

 

    • Submit all nomination materials to Hayes Tilson (htilson@uga.edu) by February 1.

 

  • Adhere to the values of the University of Georgia.
