NSSLHA General Meeting Minutes
January 21, 2004, 6:30 p.m.
Aderhold 306
-Carlton Faircloth called the meeting to order at 6:30.
-Approximately 22 members were present.
Old Business:
-Secretary Donna Brooks read the minutes from the previous meeting.
-Treasurer Erin Weddle read her report.
-Our current balance is: $1,009.03.
-Marla Parker brought us up-to-date on Chick-Fil-A calendar sales.
-59 calendars still have not been turned in.
-The graduate school file is going to be under the direction of Kameron Steiniger.
-All seniors are asked to donate the following items:
-brochures from prospective graduate
programs
-copy of admissions application
-check lists
-any other relevant materials
-Anyone who wants to with the bulletin board is welcome. Rachel will
be working on it on Friday at 12:15 p.m. on the 5th floor of Aderhold.
Those interested in helping gave her their e-mail addresses.
-Times were announced for volunteer opportunities with the Reading Buddy
program.
New Business:
-The Better Hearing-Speech Awareness project is soon approaching
-We will start promotions soon
-The next meeting we will be signing up for committees.
-A sign up sheet was passed around for Chick-Fil-A biscuit sales.
-The sale will be held Wednesday, February 11th on North
Campus.
-It was proposed that NSSLHA participate in a fundraiser for the Speech/Hearing
Clinic.
-Possible ideas:
-bake sale
-Valentine’s Day theme
-doughnut/coffee sales
-Cold Stone Creamery
-There will be a Cochlear Implant Workshop at Vanderbilt University on March
25-27.

-All members were reminded that officer elections will be held in April.
-The next general NSSLHA meeting will be held on February 18, 2004 at 6:30
p.m.
-The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
