A systematic review of The Effect of Exercise Training on Anxiety Symptoms Among Patients, a study co-authored by Matthew P. Herring, a student in kinesiology, Patrick J. O’Connor and Rodney K. Dishman, professors in kinesiology, is featured in the February 22, 2010, issue of Archives of Internal Medicine. The study finds that regular exercise can reduce symptoms of anxiety in patients with a chronic illness.
