“We must move beyond the notion that grade retention and social promotion are the only available options. In the last decade, great strides have been made in describing effective academic and behavioral interventions,” writes Amy Reschly, an associate professor of educational psychology and director of the School Psychology Program at UGA’s College of Education in an August 7 op/ed article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution‘s “Get Schooled” blog.
