“No four-star teacher prep programs in Georgia,” the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported regarding the controversial National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ) ratings released June 18. Four Georgia programs, including two at the University of Georgia, earn 3.5 or 3 stars under the ranking.
A followup article in the AJC’s “Get Schooled” blog June 18 reports additional information from the study specific to Georgia that was released by the NCTQ later that morning.
