“The public invests too little money in schools, resulting in low morale among the teaching force and questions about the future of society. These problems are of immediate concern and require solutions before it is too late,” writes Peter Smagorinsky, a UGA Distinguished Research Professor of language and literacy education in a May 7 DevEd blog.
