Moultrie Observer150A generation ago, talking in class was against the rules. Now, four Colquitt County teachers are participating in a two-year study to see if that once-forbidden behavior could actually help kids learn. The teachers are taking part in a two-year UGA College of Education study of the instructional conversation method of teaching, reports an April 9 story in The Moultrie Observer.  Pedro Portes, professor of educational psychology and executive director of the COE’s Center for Latino Achievement and Success in Education (CLASE) is quoted in the story.
