UGA’s first black grad speaks at local church

Mary Frances Early was the keynote speaker for Bethel Baptist Church’s Black History program February 24. The audience was treated to a firsthand account of the integration of the University of Georgia by its first black graduate, reported aBlueprint story in the March 11 Athens Banner-Herald. Early (MMEd ’62, EdS ’67) earned a master’s in music education and an educational specialist degree from UGA.
