An accreditation team gave the Clarke County School District glowing reviews as they wound up a four-day inspection of the school system Wednesday. The team especially liked the district’s partnership with the University of Georgia College of Education, reported a story in the January 17 Athens Banner-Herald.
The preliminary report by AdvancED said the partnership has resulted in effective implementation of evidence-based teaching and learning practices that result in positive student achievement outcomes.
AdvancED (formerly the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities or SACS) is the world’s largest educational network and evaluates 30,000 public and private schools throughout the United States and 70 countries nationwide.
