COE studies cited in Clarke school schedule change

Two studies by COE faculty member Sally Zepeda that show the ineffectiveness of block scheduling in high school classrooms is cited in Clarke Schools’ recommendation to move back to regular scheduling, reports a front page story in the January 6 Athens Banner-Herald. Denise Spangler, head of the department of mathematics and science education and a member of the Clarke County Board of Education is quoted in the story.
